ASCAME was one of the partners of this edition organized by the CCIS Fรจs-Meknรจsย and theย Foundation Forum รconomique Fรจs-Meknรจsย from December 5 to 7, 2024.
Under the themeย โHorizon 2030: Economic Dynamicsโ, the forum focused on Moroccoโs most recent stage, marked byย the necessary transition to a more efficient, equitable and environmentally friendly development model. More specifically, the forum focused on the role of territories in the development of countries, exploring the levers for better articulation between local and national dynamics, and enhancing the potential of each region as an engine for growth and innovation
This prestigious event brought together business leaders, academic experts, policymakers, and chambers of commerce from across theย ๐ ๐ฒ๐ฑ๐ถ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ป, aimed at fostering innovation and sustainable development in the Fez-Meknes region, strengthening resilience in the global agri-food supply chain.
Luis Miranda, Project Manager atย ASCAME, emphasised STAPLES’ vital role in understanding the stressors and external shocks of the global cereal value chainโa challenge that became evident following disruptions caused by the war between Russia and Ukraine.
With ASCAME as a key partner, leading institutions from Spain (Cรกmara de Comercio de Sevilla), Morocco (CCIS Fez Meknes & CCIS Casablanca Settat), and Egypt (CCI Alexandria & FEDCOC) will be instrumental in supporting research activities throughout the project.
